Original charges are items the consumer will pay to each creditor and loan originator for originating and extending credit.
Loan originator compensation is disclosed as Original Charges. Compensation from the consumer to a third-party loan originator is designated as Borrower-Paid At Closing or Before Closing on the Closing Disclosure. Compensation from the creditor to a third-party loan originator is designated as Paid by Others on the Closing Disclosure.
Disclose here the amounts paid by the consumer, seller and others for each item. For items paid by the consumer or seller, the amount that is paid at or before closing is also entered into the applicable column.
% of Loan Amount (Points) - Enter the points paid to the creditor to reduce the interest rate both a percentage of the amount of credit extended and a dollar amount.
Additional lines - Select from the drop-down list for any other fee paid to or to be paid at closing in the applicable column.
Note: Check the box next to Paid by Others for (L) to be printed on the form.
